106 Coaches

The best coaches do not hold back when it comes to encouraging their team to be better. A coach is ineffective if their team does not improve. It is good that a coach may be the one with the most knowledge about the sport and may even have the most experience, but when it comes to game time the coach can't participate. He can only instruct, guide, and encourage. There may be times in the growth and development of a team that the members may hate the coach or love the coach, depending on their level of commitment and understanding of the game strategy. Practices may be trying, testing, they may even cause injury. Even in injury a player is still useful to the team. They can encourage and support. Does it benefit a team to allow those who don't show up for practice to remain on the team? Does it benefit the team to allow some to not practice wholeheartedly? Maybe it is better to make practice easy, so that anyone can participate. Would this align with the goal of winning? God invites all to join his team and play under His colors, and it seems like if pastors are anything, they are coaches.
