61 Tickle in Your Soul

This is to every parent. Think of the love you feel for your child. There are times depending on our child's behavior that this feeling ebbs and flows and is tested, but right now I am thinking of the tickle in your soul when they figure out something new in wonder and amazement. Maybe even when they try real hard to impress you and it's something you see their heart and recognize their love and admiration for you. This love is not the purpose of our role as parents, it is a symptom of our relationship with our children. This love we feel should not be the focus of our lives as parents. It's difficult not to be this way when the innate care we have for our kids runs deep. God placed this love in our hearts for our children as a picture for us to see how He cares for us. He is good and He doesn't expect us to understand how he feels simply through explaination. He gives us a way to experience His love for us through our love for our kids.
